Respectfully, there is NO WAY that Claire Williams was going to be able to run a sustained successful Formula 1 racing team. The real mistake, if any, was that the Frank Williams did not put a hierarchical succession plan in well before his health began to decline.

Claire thought that Williams could survive within their existing model despite seeing all the other teams around them changing. That was swimming against the current and in F1 only has two end results. Going under or being bought out.

It's really sad that the Williams family had to sell off their shares in the team but the facilties at Williams just haven't been up to scratch for going on 2 decades so they desperately needed the funding or else they could've disappeared.

Pump money into it production and marketing F1 racing team into those business. watch it grow with brand awareness and increase in sale of Aston Martin cars to the level of Ferrari.. Then IPO Aston martin car and the racing team for billions of dollars. The idea of knowing there a cost cap on F1 is knowing how racing business works. He has been studying F1 for very long time. Take the money and run type of guy he is.
